TidyTrail is a local, on-device utility. This policy is short because the app does very little with your data beyond what you directly ask it to do.
Only the specific folder you choose through the iOS Files picker each time you tap "Choose Folder." TidyTrail does not request or receive access to any other files, folders, or apps on your device.
Everything happens locally on your device: scanning file names, sizes, and modification dates, computing content hashes to detect duplicates, and writing deletion logs to a "TidyTrail Logs" folder inside the app's own Documents directory (visible in the Files app).
When you delete files through TidyTrail, a plain-text log recording what was deleted (file paths, sizes, and outcome) is written to your device before the deletion happens, and kept there until you remove it yourself. These logs never leave your device.
